Introduction: there is a recent increase in interest the use of medicinal and phytotherapeutic plants. Objective: to verify effect ethanolic extracts from different parts fruits two species genus Syzygium, on glucose lipid levels blood, using animal models. Results: bark extract seeds S. cumini (Lamarck) Skeels proved be effective reducing blood levels. This same was also lowering cholesterol The seed nuclei paniculatum(Gaertn) were triglyceride Extracts all panic-ulatum (Gaertn) prevented weight gain animals. Conclusion: general, both showed direct influence parameters characteristics under study.
